what to

What should I do before my appointment?
-
If you normally get your eyebrows waxed or threaded, you may get them shaped 3 days prior to your microblading/cosmetic tattoo appointment. If you normally tint your eyebrows, you may do so 1 week before your appointment
-
If you would like me to use as much hair as possible, or you don’t typically shape your brows, you may let your eyebrows grow until your appointment. I will remove any hair not needed in the design after brow mapping with a small brow razor (this allows for painless hair removal that does not damage the follicle)
-
Discontinue the use of retinol 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after your appointment
-
Avoid tanning two weeks prior to your appointment
-
Do not come to your appointment with a sunburn on your forehead or flaking skin around your eyebrows
-
Avoid chemical peels, laser treatments, and microdermabrasion, at least 4 weeks prior to your appointment

If you get Botox regularly, have it done at least two weeks before your appointment
In order to avoid excess bleeding and poor color deposit:
-
Do not drink alcohol 24 hours before

Do not drink coffee before your procedure
-
Do not take aspirin or ibuprofen for pain relief (this thins the blood)

Do not take fish oil or vitamin E 1 week prior (natural blood thinners)Do not have any flax, chia, or hemp seed for 1 week prior ***

COVID-19 vaccine / all vaccines.
-
Tattooing must be performed POST two weeks after your second or single-dose COVID-19 vaccine

All types of antibiotics effect the healing process of cosmetic tattooing. Tattooing must be performed POST TWO weeks after you finished your last dose!
Cosmetic tattoos take between 6-8 weeks to fully heal. Your brows will typically be healed on a superficial level within 10-14 days. Your brows may feel tender, similar to sunburn, immediately after your appointment. Slight redness and/or swelling around the area is normal and typically fades within 24-48 hours. Your brows will appear darker and bolder in color immediately after the procedure, they will soften and fade as your skin heals in the coming days. This is completely normal!
Starting 2-4 hours after your appointment, gently wash your brows using “After soap”and luke warm water. Pat the area dry with clean paper towel and allow to air dry. Using a clean q-tip or finger tips, apply a thin layer of “Bowlers healing balm”. You only need a tiny amount! ( this tube is enough for BOTH of your sessions!)
Wash your brows morning and night for the next 10 days, following the above instructions.
-
Do NOT apply any makeup or skin care products to your brows for 14 days
-
Avoid heavy sweating, steam and sauna for 7 days
-
Wash your hands before touching the tattooed area!
-
Do not tan or spray tan for at least 2 weeks
-
Do not pick or scratch the tattoo as it heals. Let all skin naturally exfoliate off
-
Do not get any facial treatments for at least 2 weeks

What should I do after my appointment?
-
Glycolic acid, retin-a, face peels and exfoliants must be kept away from the tattooed area. Continued use could lighten the pigment and using these products can make your brows fade faster or cause discoloration of the pigment
-
EXPOSURE TO THE SUN over time can cause fading and discoloration of the pigment. Once completely healed, you should apply sunscreen DAILY on your brows / entire face, for BEST results!
-
If you are having laser treatments done near the area, please inform the laser technician of your microblading/tattooed brows. Laser procedures may darken, lighten, or discolor the tattooed area
-
Hydrate your brows even once healed! This is a tattoo, keeping the skin fresh-looking will help the brow color appear brighter. Also, wipe off the brow area after applying makeup; powder and foundation can cover the brows or make them appear dull

Q&A #1
What is Microblading?
Microblading is a cosmetic tattoo technique using a handheld tool to create “hair strokes” in the skin that follow your natural growth pattern. This technique can be used to enhance existing eyebrows or reshape sparse brows. Microblading typically heals best on normal to dry skin types.
**Microblading is not for everyone, consultation are complementary for any questions or concerns you may have. **
Q&A #2
What are Shaded Brows?
Shaded brows are done using a tattoo machine to create a soft powdered look within the brows. Shading can achieve a soft natural look or a more dramatic look depending on the clients preference. It is Amazing for all skin types but benefits more oily and mature skin types, or those with very thin, yet coarse brow hair.
